ATV reported stolen located in wooded area web posted July 16, 2010 WESTSIDE – A report of a stolen ATV came in to the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday around 4 pm after the homeowner’s grand daughter called and told him it was missing. An Investigator arrived on the scene and was shown where tracks led to the wooded area behind the home located on the 2800 block of Highway 23 west. The homeowner’s son had already located the stolen ATV in the wooded area, although the battery had been removed. It was also discovered that a battery was missing from a second ATV. The value of the batteries was estimated at $100 total. A neighbor’s gate was found opened and tracks lead in that direction leading to the belief the person or persons were trying to push the ATV through the wooded area in an effort to load it into a truck. © Copyright 2010 EdgefieldDaily.com All original
