  STH to offer Baseball Camp for youths 8-14 web posted May 9, 2008 JOHNSTON – The Strom Thurmond Baseball Program will be holding a two-day baseball camp on June 16 and 17 for youth ages 8-14. The basic fundamentals of hitting, throwing, fielding, and base running will be incorporated. The camp instructors will be a combination of varsity high school coaches, college baseball players, and varsity high school players. The youth will be divided into two age groups, 8-10 year olds will attend from 8-11 am and 11-14 year olds will attend from Noon until 3 pm. Attendees need to bring their own gear including bat, glove, cap, shoes, and practice gear. The cost of the camp will be $60.00 and will include a camp T-shirt. Application forms are available at all area elementary and middle schools or by contacting Coach Brent Wilder at STHS by email cbwilder@edgefield.k12.sc.us or phone (803-275-1768) or click here to download a copy of the application form.
