Candace Cordell Benefit Ride set for October 9

EDGEFIELD - PSA – Please join us for a motorcycle benefit ride for Candace Cordell and her family. On May. 7th, 2010, Candace was severely injured in a car accident on her way home, leaving her with a serious spinal and brain injury. Candace has been through months of rehabilitation and her family has had to modify their home to aid in her recovery. Although Candace has made miraculous steps towards regaining normal function, she still has a long road ahead of her.

All proceeds from the bike ride will be given to her parents, Robert and Tera Velasco, who are also parents to Candace’s younger brother, six year old Alex. Candace recently graduated from Fox Creek High School in May of 2010 and planned on attending USC Aiken for nursing. 

If you are coming from North Augusta, SC take Hwy 25 N into Edgefield, SC.  When you pass McDonalds in Edgefield stay on Hwy 25 business route, take a left onto Mims Street at the trussle, then turn left into the Soccer Complex.

$20 Per Bike, $5 Per Passenger, Free lunch for all riders, Registration begins at 9 a.m. Ride begins at 9:45 a.m. Starting Point is at the Soccer Complex in Edgefield, SC on Mims Street off of Augusta Road. Ride will go through McCormick County and will end at the beginning location with lunch to follow afterwards.
