James N. "Jimmy" Roach

TRENTON –  Mr. James N. "Jimmy" Roach, 77, of Edgefield Road, entered into rest March 29, 2008 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church with the Rev. G. L. Brightharp officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Roach, a native of New York City, was a United States Army Veteran. In 1986 he retired from the United States Postal Service after 34 years of service. He was a member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Carrie L. Johnson Roach, Trenton, S.C.; two daughters, Cynthia R. Peterson, Bronx, N.Y. and Brenda Hunter Robinson (Richard McCain), North Augusta; four sons, Carl (Cheryl) Roach, Owings Mills, Md., James Roach, Ronald Waring, and Rudy (Cathy) Walker, New York; two sisters, Mildred Green and Christine Roach, New York City; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Young, Aiken; brothers-in-law, James (Earnestine) Johnson and Robert Johnson, Trenton, S.C.; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
