GRANITEVILLE - The Lacey-Obleton Family will celebrate the life of Chuck Carlton Lacey, 49, who entered into rest March 24, 2018, on Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel in North Augusta, SC. Pastor Steve Norsworthy officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Park.

Chuck was born in Augusta, GA, at University Hospital and was a life-long resident of the North Augusta area. He graduated from North Augusta High School in 1988 and attended True North Church. Chuck worked with Bill Beazley Homes for 19 years and was proud of his accomplishments there.

His love of people, his desire to help others, and his desire to leave a positive impact on the world showed in his work, as he ensured each customer was happy and felt at home in their Bill Beazley Home. His accomplishments resulted in him rising through the ranks of the family-owned business to named Vice President of Customer Relations.

We will always remember him for being a wonderful father to Madison, his big heart, helping others, and his love of traveling. His mother, Renate Schardt Lacey and his stepfather, Dean Carver preceded him in death.

Survivors include his husband, Joseph Obleton, II, Augusta, GA; his daughter, Madison Grace Lacey, Evans, GA; a stepson, Adrian Obleton, Atlanta, GA; a step-daughter, Aaleyah Obleton, Boston, MA; his father, Robert C. Lacey (Rolla), North Augusta, SC; two brothers, Pete W. Lacey and Bert W. Lacey (Tanya) all of Edgefield, SC; two sisters, Patricia Lacey Poston (Bobby), Jacksonville, FL and Deana Vaughn (Chris), Aiken, SC; his nieces and nephews, Brittany Lacey Reese, Ashley Poston Davis, Kyle Poston, Jeremy Lacey, Devin Lacey, Brent Lacey, Blair Vaughn and Carver Vaughn; his father-in-law, Joseph Obleton, Sr., Davenport, IA; his mother-in-law, Siberina Taylor, Augusta, GA; and the mother of his daughter, Julie Norsworthy, Evans, GA.

Bill Beazley Homes employees will be the honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening, March 29th from 7 until 9.
