Nora Derrick web posted February 27, 2008 JOHNSTON, S.C. - Funeral services for Miss Nora Derrick, age 98, will be held today, Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at Philippi Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the home of Virginia and Charlie Derrick and will receive friends at the church from 1:30 - 2:30 prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Philippi Baptist Church, c/o Christy Nettles, 101 Old Plank Rd., Johnston, SC 29832. Miss Derrick, a native of Johnston, died Monday, February 25, 2008. She was a daughter of the late David Griffin and Fannie Tilatha Claxton Derrick. Miss Derrick was a retired sales person and cashier having worked in retail grocery sales. She was a member of Philippi Baptist Church. Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews. Bland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ©
