prepared for a day of festive family
fun on December 15th, from 10 am to
3 pm. The Santa Craft Show
will be held at the Merriwether
Community Center located at
1879 W. Martintown Road North
Augusta S.C. 29860. The event
will be held rain or shine. Santa
will be there from 11 until 2 with
gift bags for the kids (all

signing up for some of the raffles,
but if you don't win, you're still
in luck because there will be 20
vendors ready to sell handcrafted,
ready-to-gift items, perfect for
Christmas or maybe even yourself.
"Last year's show was so well
received, that we wanted to bring it
back again", said organizer, Mandy
Whatley Owen. "This is a great
way to not only spend time with your
family, but a great way to skip all
the mall and city traffic while
shopping local and supporting local
businesses and families", she added.
All of the organizer's funds are
returned to the event to pay for the
gift bags, special appearances, and
overhead costs. Any remaining
monies are donated to local
charities. "This is just a
special thing that I like to do for
the community that I grew up
in", remarked Mrs. Owen.
