Merriwether home target of thefts: truck, 4-wheeler, gun stolen

web posted May 8, 2008
MERRIWETHER – A Merriwether family awoke Tuesday morning to find they were the victim of burglary that occurred over night with the bandit or bandits making off with over $7,000 in vehicles, tools, and a gun. Deputies arrived at the West Five Notch Road home in the 800 block and began gathering information and seeking evidence.

The father reported that a 1989 two-tone, dark brown on light brown, Chevrolet Silverado 4X4 with aluminum mags, bed rails, and bed liner was missing. Also discovered missing was a black and white racing type 2006 Honda TRX250 four-wheeler with steel mags, an unspecified make and model gun, and $600 in tools.

Police reports state the thefts occurred while the family was asleep in the home.

The value of all items totaled an estimated $7,300.

The case is currently under investigation.
