EMT Class Offered by Edgefield County EMS

EDGEFIELD Edgefield County EMS will be sponsoring an Emergency Medical Technician course starting in June. There is a pre-requisite test that will be administered by Piedmont Technical College prior to the start of class. There is a fee for the pre-requisite exam. Call for details if interested in taking this course. The cost will be $212  for Edgefield County residents and $1,175 for non-county residents for the initial course.

Practical testing fees at the end of the class is $100 and Computer Based Testing after successful completion of the practical portion is $75.

Textbook and workbook will be provided. books will also be available for purchase at an additional cost.

Course Date and Times:
Start Date: June 2, 2014
End Date: December 22, 2014
Days: Monday or Tuesday and Thursday
Time: 6PM to 10PM

The class includes practical experience ride time on the EMS units. The Hepatitis B Vaccine is required to be either completed or have had the first shot of the three shot series before being allowed to ride in the EMS unit.
