Tax Day TEA Party in Augusta

AUGUSTA – The Augusta Tea Party will hold their 2011 event at the Augusta Riverwalk Amphitheatre April 15th frm 5:00-8:00pm. The main organizers Tony Powers talk show host of "Powers to the People" on talk radio 1380 WNRR (AM) and wife Renee deMedicis who have planned the last 2 years event will hold this event with the help of dozens of volunteers throughout the CSRA.

The Augusta Tea Party will give citizens an opportunity to proclaim in a deep and meaningful way that we are free individuals and assume the rights and responsibilities of a free people. This years event's main objective is to educate, enlighten and encourage citizens to get involved in the political process and provide them with the tools and information to help make a difference in your communities, your states, and country.

The impetus for the Tea Party movement is the stop excessive government spending and taxation. Their mission is to attract, educate, organize, and mobilize fellow citizens to secure public policy consistent with their three core values of Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets.

Scheduled speakers include - SC Governor Nikki Haley, Ga Congressman Paul Braun, SC Representative Jeff Duncan, SC State Senator Bill Taylor, Writer Michael Ryan, Jeff Annis, Larry Lynn, Writer Bill Costello, Tony Powers, Ray McBerry, Pat Vanhooser, Eric Holgate, John Travis, and Aaron Hensley.
